It was as if the author new she had to have the “acceptable” 300 page length and just kept repeating the same information. • 4.0 out of 5 stars from Kindle Customer -- Great book, only one problem . . . : I really enjoyed the book, but there was one thing I really didn't like about the ending. *Spoiler Alert* By not calling the police and exposing Louise's crimes, they left the family of Jason believing that he committed suicide. It's selfish and cruel on the part of Kelly and Wyatt to allow his family to continue to believe that he killed himself just to spare their children from reading bad things about their grandmother on the internet. While losing a loved one is terrible no matter the circumstances, losing a loved one that chose to take their own life is particularly painful. This isn't even mentioned or considered by Wyatt and Kelly when discussing what to do about Louise. Even months afterward, Jason was never mentioned. At the end of the book they say that what they did to Louise was merciful, but what about mercy for Jason's family? ( Reviewed in the United States on November 7, 2021 )

Kelly is married to Wyatt and they have 3 year old twin boys. When Wyatt's father needs heart surgery, he and Wyatt' s Mum, Louise, move in because it is much closer to the hospital than their home is. From here on, I don't want to give anything away. I will only say that Louise is a whole,.huge basket full of crazy and dangerous. I loved this story and read it in just a few days as I believe everyone else will when they pick it up! I highly recommend reading this book and I'm off to my Kindle to check out everything else this author has written ☺. Enjoy. ( Reviewed in the United States on November 8, 2021 )

After reading this Ive realized that I truly cherish the close relationship that Ive built with my own mother in law through out the years. She’s a saint compared to the one in this story and if anything this book taught me that things could always be much worse given a different set a circumstances. • 5.0 out of 5 stars from Cath McTernan -- If Relatives are Overstaying Their Welcome, This Story May Serve as a Warning! : Wyatt’s parents Frank and Louise moved into his and his wife Kelly’s home, where they live with their twin three year old boys Nick and Sam, after Frank had to have some serious heart surgery following a heart attack. Wyatt and Kelly had opened their home to the couple to help them be close to the hospital where he had surgery and all his follow-ups, as well as Kelly following the strict diet plan Frank had been given. They had even converted one of their downstairs offices to a bedroom for him, so he didn’t have to overexert himself trying to climb stairs, before he was ready to. Kelly describes Louise as quite a cold person, who she has found hard to get along with and who isn’t very demonstrative. Yet Louise seems to describe Kelly in almost the same manner. When Kelly goes looking for Frank, to give him breakfast, she finds his dead body slumped on the floor of their outdoor sauna, someplace he should never have been, so close after surgery! Wyatt comforts his mother and tries to keep things as normal as possible for the kids during this time. But it seems Louise has settled herself into the household and her grandchildren’s lives and isn’t making any signs of moving back home! ( Reviewed in the United Kingdom on October 20, 2021 )
• 2.0 out of 5 stars from Kindle Customer -- Weird : I actually struggled to finish this rather tediously long drawn out drama with three central characters who were, in their own individual ways, all as unlikable as each other. This is not a good thing in a book as generally you want to be able to empathise or root for at least one character. Yes, the mother was mad but the wife was also a bit neurotic and over the top and the son was weak. The final "showdown" was a little underwhelming and although I stuck with it, I didn't feel satisfied with the ending. ( Reviewed in the United Kingdom on October 27, 2021 )

I looked forward to the end of the day when I could pick up my kindle and read for a while. I liked the main characters except for mother in law and the little boy twins were sweet.
